Having studied Graphic Design and Photography in the early 90s in a pre-digital age, I was amazed to download the Instagram app a few years ago and start enjoying mobile photography. Completely different from the romance of film photography and the anticipation to develop and finally see your images, mobile photography was a whole new concept for me that was instant and energetic. Nearly throwaway, it’s explored a whole new side to photography for me, a new form of freedom, much less calculated or pressurised than before. It led to meeting many mobile photographers from around the globe, all sharing a passion for image making and architecture, meeting to make mobile images, travelling and teaching each other new ways in new places. Here are some images I took during my Instagram years, inspired by colours and patterns and the creative people I have met. They are daydreams, emotions, sounds, that existed in my mind.
